Throughout the
tour your guide-interpreter will bring back to life the history of the
Palace of Versailles where, from 1682, Louis XIV officially settled his
court and his government. In particular, you will discover the Great Royal
Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen's Apartments. Take advantage
of some free time at the end of the excursion to stroll through the French
gardens surrounded by sculptures (statues, busts, marble vases) made from
1661 by teams of sculptors initially supervised by Charles Le Brun, the
King's favorite painter. Visit the following Versailles rooms: Great
Royal Apartments, the famous Hall of Mirrors, Queen's Bedroom, Gallery of
Battles (independent visit - entrance ticket will given to you by guide)
Versailles Guided Tour + Fountain Show Special Program:
From April 01 to September 23, 2006. In addition to the regular program, you
can wander around the groves and pools where the magnificent display of
fountains reveals the skill and artistry of three centuries of French Garden
design and engineering. The display is accompanied by music from one of the
famous composers from the court of Louis XIV.

If you are
traveling on a Saturday or Sunday from April through to September, you must
select one of the "Tour + Show" options as the regular departures are
replaced with this Fountain Show Special Program.
Departure Point
Paris Vision Office, located at 214 rue de Rivoli.
The closest metro station is TUILERIES. You can exit onto Rue de Rivoli (along
the Tuileries Gardens). Simply cross the road (only one pedestrian crossing
so you can't get lost) to get to the Paris Vision Office.
Departure Time :
From April to October included : Daily except Monday at 9:00am and 2:00pm
From November to March included : Daily except Monday and Thursday at 9:00am
and Daily except Monday and Wednesday at 2:00pm.
