What will you see in the museum ? Edouard André demonstrated sure judgement and enlightened taste, as he built up an extensive collection of masterpieces (Fragonard, David). Permanent collections include : French paintings, Dutch paintings, The Italian Renaissance Furniture, & other remarkable art objects dating from the Louis XV and Louis XVI periods.

From 19 March to 24 August 2008, the Musée Jacquemart-André will host a
unique exhibition of the 100 most exceptional pieces from the largest
premier private art collection, the Barbier-Mueller Collection.
The rarest masterpieces from the Barbier-Mueller Collection, the most
stunning private collection of African and Oceanic art in the world, are to
be brought together for the very first time at an exhibition to be held at
the Musée Jacquemart-André in celebration of the collection’s one hundredth
anniversary.
