Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport
(CDG) is the main airport in Paris. It is located 25 km North of city center.
Roissy is the second largest airport in Europe just behind London Heathrow. It
is a major hub for Air France. Travellers arriving from USA, Canada, UK, Northen
Europe, Asia or South America are likely to land here. Find here below
information about airport transportation (shuttles, taxis, coach - bus services,
...), airlines, maps and directions.
Paris Roissy airport shuttle
Many airport shuttle providers operate between
Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris city center hotels or private addresses.
Transfers - Transportation services
Roissy airport is well connected to city center:
Travellers are given the choice of either a taxi, a bus transfer, a shuttle or a
train ticket. Here is our airport transportation guide.
Airport Shuttle is a rather convenient way to get to and
from Roissy. However don't expect in Paris to find a desk in the arrival
terminal to book your transfer at the very last minute. The journey must be
booked in advance. This is the law.
Many taxis wait for customers at the exit of each
terminal. Taxis use fare meters. The cost for a transfer to Paris is usually
about 30 to 50 euros and the duration is 30 minutes. However expect total fare and
travel times to be higher during rush-hour times (7am-9am and 4pm-7pm).
Train - Subway
Terminal 2 hosts the TGV (High speed train) railway
station. Train are arriving from and leaving to many French cities (Except
Paris). Connection to Paris is made by RER B a suburban train serving each
terminal. Travel time is about 50 minutes and cost is 8.5 euros one way.
Coach - Bus services
Roissybus and Air France bus are the only two direct coach
services operated between Roissy and Paris. However non direct lines are also
available. Travel time is about 45 minutes. Fare varies from 7 to 15 euros
depending on service.
